From the local UI, you can scan your original documents and save copies to different destinations. For detailed instructions about Xerox Scan To PC, go through the steps given below.

Method 1: Using Xerox Easy Printer Manager

This method is applicable for Windows only. Mac users can use the default scanning software like Image Capture to scan the documents.

  • First, turn on your printer and place the original document on the scanner glass.
  • Connect your printer and computer via a USB cable or over a wireless network.
  • Next, install the Xerox Easy Printer Manager tool on your Windows computer. You can get the tool from the official Xerox site.
  • Open the downloaded tool and click the Printer menu to select your printer’s name.
  • If you have connected the printer and your computer via a USB cable, choose the USB port of the printer from the available list.
  • Otherwise, select the IP address or hostname of the printer.
  • Click the Home tab and select Scan to open the Easy Document Creator Utility.
  • To start scanning the document, click either Quick Scan or Advanced Scan.
  • Click on Save to scan your document and send the copy to the specified destination.
  • If necessary, click Scan More to scan additional documents.

Fixing the printing issues

  • Before starting, make sure that your computer supports Scan to PC.
  • Connect your printer and computer and enable Easy Printer Manager.
  • Configure the scan settings you need in the Xerox Easy Printer Manager tool. To do so, click Scan to PC Settings and then select Enable for Scan activation.
  • If necessary, you can modify the following scan settings.
  • Color Mode/Output Mode
  • Resolution
  • Scan Size/Original Size
  • Original Type
  • Darkness or Lighten
  • Turn on your printer and press the Home button on the control panel.
  • Load the original document on the scanner glass.
  • To scan multiple pages, load the original documents into the ADF.
  • On the touchscreen LCD, touch the Scan to PC icon.
  • Select the destination computer from the available list.
  • Adjust the scan settings and tap Scan.
  • To scan another page, tap Yes and load the next page. Tap Scan to scan the additional document.
  • Finally, press the Home button to return to the main menu.
